About the race
The Blue Blood Rivalry Run is a 5K fun run, walk, or dribble around the streets and paths of Herndon Park, adjacent to the American Tobacco Trail in Durham, North Carolina. The event is scheduled for March 6, 2027 and uses park trails and nearby streets with the start located at Herndon Park between the baseball field and the adjacent trail. Entry includes a team shirt in the participant's choice of Duke blue, Carolina blue, or a Party Crasher white and red design, plus a limited edition Blue Blood Rivalry Game Day medallion. A virtual race option is available; virtual participants receive a T-shirt and medallion and may complete the 5K remotely. All registration fees, donations, and sponsorships for this 5K fundraising race support TROSA.
TROSA provides cost-free residential treatment, housing, meals, clothing, health services, vocational and life-skills training, mentorship, and counseling for people with substance use disorders. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, March 5 at Fleet Feet, 6807 Fayetteville Road #105, Durham, NC, with a designated pickup window. Parking for the event is available at C.M. Herndon Park, 511 Scott King Rd, Durham, NC 27713.
