Blenheim Palace Triathlon
The Blenheim Palace Triathlon takes place within the grounds of the Blenheim Palace estate in Woodstock, Oxfordshire. This UNESCO World Heritage Site provides the setting for a multi-sport event that includes swimming, cycling, and running. The swim portion is held in the Great Lake, followed by a bike course on closed roads within the palace grounds, and a final run through the landscaped parkland.
Participants can choose from several distances and formats:
- Sprint: 750m swim, 19.8km bike, and 5.4km run.
- SuperSprint: 400m swim, 13.3km bike, and 2.9km run.
- Olympic: Distance designated for specific categories.
- Weekend Warrior: A format involving multiple repetitions of the courses over the event weekend.
The event caters to individual participants as well as relay teams. There are also specific entry options for youth competitors in the SuperSprint category. All participants receive chip-timed results, a medal, a t-shirt, a branded swim hat, and access to aid stations and post-event hydration.
A Finish Line Festival is held on-site, featuring live music, food, and drinks for both athletes and spectators. Additional facilities include a bag drop area and app tracking for supporters. Spectators are required to purchase tickets to access the grounds and support participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
