Bleaklow Blitz
The Bleaklow Blitz is a Category AM fell race organized by the Start2Jog Running Club. The event takes place at Torside Reservoir, with the course primarily following the Pennine Way. Participants run from the reservoir up to Bleaklow Head before completing a loop and returning via the same route.
The race covers a total distance of 12.9 km (8 miles) and includes a total ascent of 452 m (1483 ft). The course offers views of the surrounding landscape and involves significant climbing sections. The event is open to runners aged 18 or older on the day of the race.
Registration is available for both Fell Runners Association (FRA) members and non-members. The event base is located at the Torside Car Park. The current course records stand at 01:00:40 for men, set in 2022, and 01:10:46 for women, set in 2025.
