Blazing Trails for Brain Injury
Blazing Trails for Brain Injury is an annual community event organized by the Brain Injury Association of Nebraska. The event offers opportunities to run, walk, or roll and is scheduled for June 12, 2027 at Chalco Hills Recreation Area in Omaha, Nebraska. A virtual participation option is also available.
The 2026 event experienced severe weather that prevented completion of the outdoor course. Participants instead gathered at the Chalco Recreation Center, where the group met indoors. Despite the weather, the event raised funds to support brain injury awareness, advocacy, prevention, and support services across Nebraska.
The event lists sponsorship opportunities for 2027 and publishes a sponsorship document outlining levels and benefits. Local organizations supported the 2026 event as race day sponsors. Images from the 2026 gathering show participants, indoor activities, and group interactions at the recreation center.
Information presented with this event includes its purpose of supporting brain injury-related programs and services in Nebraska and its combination of in-person and virtual participation options. Details about registration, specific course routes, participant categories, and schedule are provided elsewhere by the organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
