Blazing Saddles

Blazing Saddles is a trail running event at Codorus State Park, Pavilion #3, near Hanover, Pennsylvania. The event is presented by the York Road Runners Club and the York Ridge Runners and takes place in March 2026. Distances offered include:

  • 8 Miler
  • 25K
  • 50K

All distances follow the Ranger Trail, composed of singletrack, horse trails, and under one mile of road. The course is organized as loops: the 8 Miler is one loop, the 25K is two loops, and the 50K is four loops. Runners should expect runnable hills, sections of mud, and the possibility of snow or variable March weather.

There is an aid station at Mile 8 providing water, electrolyte drinks, and food. Top three men and top three women in each relevant category receive prizes. Registrants who register by February 18 receive event swag. Event proceeds support a local animal rescue.

Rules include visible bibs, no bib transfers, no littering, staying on the designated trail, and no pacers, crews, deferrals, or refunds. The event is scheduled without an alternate rain date and is intended to proceed in rain, snow, sleet, or sunshine. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
