Course and aid

The trail system covers forest and grasslands near Joe Pool Lake with no lighting on the trails. All participants must carry a hydration device. The race is cupless; a reusable collapsible cup is available for purchase at packet pickup. Aid station details: the ≈5K passes no aid stations; the ≈10K passes one aid station at about 3.4 miles; the ≈18K/≈36K/≈54K visit the Copperhead Corner aid station twice per loop at roughly 3.4 and 7.2 miles. Aid stations provide water, Gatorade and food items.

Logistics and policies

Cedar Hill State Park requires a day pass for participants and spectators 13 and older. Drop bags may be left at the Start/Finish at owner risk and will not be mailed. Pacers are not allowed. Awards are given to top finishers and masters; finisher medals are specific to distances 15K and over, with participation medals for shorter distances. Shirts are provided in the registered size and are not mailed to no-shows.
