Course and support

All races run the course counter clockwise. The Copperhead Corner aid station sits along a fire road that bisects the trail system. Runners in the ≈5K pass no aid stations. ≈10K runners pass the Copperhead Corner aid station once at about 3.4 miles. ≈18K/≈36K/≈54K runners pass that aid station twice per loop, at roughly 3.4 and 7.2 miles, and should plan to carry enough water for the final segments noted by the organizers. There is no lighting on the trail; runners who cannot complete a loop before sundown must carry an illumination device. The race is cupless; a collapsible reusable cup is available for purchase.

Logistics and rules

All participants must carry a hydration device. Drop bags may be left at the Start/Finish at the owner’s risk. Pacers are not allowed. Awards go to top overall finishers and Masters (40+); finisher medals are issued for distances 15K and over, and participation medals for shorter distances. Shirts are provided in the size selected at registration and are not mailed. Cedar Hill State Park requires a day pass for visitors 13 and older; the fee noted is $7 per person. Cancellation and transfer policies specify race credit tiers based on timing and a $15 fee for bib transfers when allowed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
