Blanding Firecracker 4th of July 5K : Event overview
The Blanding Firecracker 4th of July 5K is a community road race held in Centennial Park at 150 West 1200 South, Blanding, UT 84511. The event raises funds for the San Juan High School Cross Country Team; 100% of proceeds benefit the team.
Two event options are offered:
- 5K road race
- 1 mile fun run
Packet pickup is scheduled for July 3 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on the lawn east of the Wellness Center at 1013 South 300 West. There is a registration option labeled "WALKING the 5K" for participants who wish to walk the 5K route. Walkers are not eligible for age group awards but are eligible for door prizes once they complete the 5K distance. Door prizes are limited to participants who complete the 5K and are not available to 1 mile fun run finishers.
The event includes a prize drawing and awards following the race. Past results are available for multiple previous years, indicating the race has been held repeatedly in prior seasons. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
