Blackpool Surf 10K
The Blackpool Surf 10K takes place on Sunday 28 March 2027 on Blackpool South Shore, with Event HQ at The Mirror Ball on New South Promenade. The course covers 10 km and uses a mix of beach and promenade surfaces, so runners should expect varied underfoot conditions including soft and compacted sand and wet areas, as well as open coastal views and sea air.
Event HQ handles registration, bib collection and enquiries, with race numbers arranged in surname order at collection. Facilities at Event HQ include accessible paved access, accessible toilets, portable toilets, a baggage storage area, and a key drop. Parking options include a small Solaris Centre car park, residential street parking, pay and display on New South Promenade and South Beach Car Park FY4 1PL. Public transport links include tram stops on the promenade and Blackpool Pleasure Beach railway station within walking distance.
A staffed water station is provided around halfway and water is available at the finish. Professional medical support is present for the duration of the event. The race is chip timed and official finish times are recorded via timing chips attached to race numbers. Official race photos are normally available online within 24 to 48 hours. Headphones are permitted when used safely. Running buggies and dogs are not allowed on the course.
