Event details
The Blackpool Aquathlon is organised by MCA Fitness and takes place at Palatine Leisure Centre, St Annes Road, Blackpool, FY4 2AP. The next scheduled race date is 22/03/2026. The swim is held in a 25 m competition pool with eight lanes. The run course uses the venue's cycle track, which keeps the running traffic free. Races are chip timed. On-site parking is available.
Race categories and entries
The event includes a full range of junior age groups, a youth category and a senior option. It forms part of the Northwest Junior Series. On-the-day entry fees are listed by category. The following race options and ages are offered:
- TriStart, Age 8: 50m swim / 600m run
- TriStar 1, Ages 9 & 10: 150m swim / 1.5km run
- TriStar 2, Ages 11 & 12: 250m swim / 2km run
- TriStar 3, Ages 13 & 14: 400m swim / 2.5km run
- Youth, Ages 15 & 16: 400m swim / 2.5km run
- Super Sprint: 500m swim / 2.5km run
