Blackout 5k / 10k Mountain Race - Cranmore Resort

The Blackout Mountain Race takes place at Cranmore Resort in North Conway, New Hampshire on November 7, 2026. This is the ninth edition of the event and it offers two distance options:

10 km

The course runs on a mix of access roads and ski trails. It will be marked with reflective flagging and LED lanterns. A tentative course map is available but the route may change based on conditions.

Participants must use headlamps and are advised to bring fresh batteries and a backup light. Headlamps will be available for purchase at registration. Bib pick-up and check-in occur at the Arlberg Children’s Center, where entrants receive event swag with their bib. Organizers ask that entrants complete the Cranmore waiver before arriving to help speed up registration.

Registration is handled online through UltraSignup. Volunteer signups are encouraged to support race operations. After the event there will be pizza, an apres gathering, and awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
