Blackout 5k / 10k Mountain Race
The Blackout Mountain Race is scheduled for November 7, 2026 at Cranmore Resort in North Conway, New Hampshire. This is the ninth edition of the event and it offers two measured mountain distances.
Registration and bib pickup take place at the Arlberg Children's Center. Bibs include event swag. Organizers ask participants to complete the required Cranmore waiver before arrival to help speed registration.
The course runs on a mix of access roads and ski trails and will be marked with reflective flagging and LED lanterns. A tentative course map exists and may be adjusted based on conditions. Headlamps are required; participants are advised to bring fresh batteries and a backup battery. Headlamps will also be available for purchase at registration.
Post-event activity includes pizza and an apres gathering, followed by awards. Volunteer help is encouraged and volunteer signups are offered for those who wish to assist.
