Blackout 5k / 10k Mountain Race
The Blackout Mountain Race is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Cranmore Resort in North Conway, New Hampshire. This is the ninth edition of the event. Two distances are offered:
- 5 km
- 10 km
Check-in and bib pickup take place at the Arlberg Children’s Center. Swag is distributed with the race bib. The course uses a mix of access roads and ski trails and will be marked with reflective flagging and LED lanterns; a tentative course map is available but may change depending on conditions. Headlamps are required for participants, and organizers note the importance of fresh batteries and a backup. Headlamps will be available for purchase at registration.
A Cranmore waiver is used for the event and organizers note it can be completed before arrival to help speed registration. Online registration is available through the event platform. The schedule also includes post-race pizza and après along with awards. Volunteers are part of the event operations and volunteer signups are available to support the race.
