Black Mountain Turkey Burner Trail Race
The Black Mountain Turkey Burner is a trail race held on November 28, 2026, at Black Mountain Ranch Park in San Diego, California. The event is presented as an 11th annual race and is listed as an ERS Championship qualifier. Entry is limited to 300 runners due to park guidelines.
Race formats follow out-and-back layouts with hill climbing on dirt surfaces. Course details by distance:

- 10K : 100% dirt, out and back, 962 ft elevation gain, 2 aid stations, 3 hour course limit.
- 5K : 100% dirt, out and back, 672 ft elevation gain, aid stations not listed, 2 hour course limit.
The race notes technical sections including single track and service road and specifies aid station counts for each distance. All runners start and finish at the Black Mountain community park area. Parking is available at the community park but is limited; secondary parking is available about half a mile away on neighborhood streets.
