Black Mountain Turkey Burner Trail Race
The Black Mountain Turkey Burner is a trail race in San Diego held on November 28, 2026, at Black Mountain Ranch Park and the Black Mountain Community Park. The event is part of the ERS Sunshine Series and is described by the organizer as the most technical trail race on that schedule. This is the eleventh annual running of the event.
The race offers multiple distances over dirt and single track terrain with significant climbing on the half marathon course. Course surfaces are described as 100% dirt, including groomed dirt trail, service road, and technical single track. The half marathon is an out and back hill climbing course that lists aid stations and a multi hour course limit; the 10K and 5K feature less technical climbing on groomed dirt trails.
