Black Men's Wellness Day 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk : Oklahoma City
On August 29 at Scissortail Park in Oklahoma City, the second annual Black Men's Wellness Day will include a community 5K and a 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk. The event is open to all races, genders, ages, and backgrounds and is presented by the Norman chapter of the African American Male Wellness Agency (AAMWA).
Participants can expect race items and event amenities provided as part of the experience, including:
- 5K (3.1 Miles)
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk (1 Mile)
The event provides a custom race bib and a finisher medal for those who complete their distance. Event swag such as shirts and additional giveaways are offered by the Wellness Day team. Registration for the race is free.
Wellness Day programming on site includes free health screenings with basic checks such as blood pressure, a Kids Zone with interactive educational activities, a Senior Pavilion with dedicated programming, and entertainment for multiple ages.
