Black Excellence 5K : Lynn, Massachusetts
The Black Excellence 5K is a community running event presented by the North Shore Juneteenth Association and held at Grace Methodist Church, 374 Broadway, Lynn, MA. The organizing group centers Black American culture and the interconnected cultures of the African Diaspora through education, storytelling, and community programming. The association is a not-for-profit 501c(3); donations are tax deductible and reported as supporting program and operating costs.
Registration for the event is not yet open; organizers note registration will open ahead of the event date and offer a notification option when it becomes available. Registered participants who sign up at least three weeks in advance are eligible for a personalized bib.
On-site amenities include live online, text, and email results; free finish-line photos; and same-day finish-line video. Awards recognize the top three male and top three female finishers in two age divisions: under 18 and over 18.
Bib pickup is handled in person beginning one hour before the event; a bib number is required for pickup. Last-minute registrants (within 24 hours) receive their bib number by text. Virtual participants receive mailed bibs the Monday before the event (allow 3–5 days) and may upload finish times and photos from Race Day through the following Sunday.
