Black Excellence 5K
The Black Excellence 5K is scheduled for May 16, 2026, in Lynn, Massachusetts. The event is presented by the North Shore Juneteenth Association, a not for profit organization that centers Black American culture and the interconnected cultures of the African Diaspora through education, storytelling, and community programming.
The race meeting place is Grace Methodist Church, 374 Broadway, Lynn, MA 01904. The event proceeds rain or shine. Timing and results are provided live and via text and email, and finish line photos and same day video are available at no cost. Runners who register at least three weeks in advance receive a personalized bib.
Awards are offered to the top three male and female finishers in two age divisions: under 18 and over 18. In-person bib pickup is handled by event staff beginning one hour before the event; late registrants within 24 hours of the event receive their bib number by text shortly after registration. Virtual participants may upload their time and photos starting on race day through the following Sunday. Virtual bibs are mailed the Monday prior to the event, allowing three to five days for delivery.
