Black Excellence 5K
The Black Excellence 5K is scheduled for May 16, 2026 in Lynn, Massachusetts. The in-person 5K run and walk begins and ends at Grace Methodist Church, 374 Broadway. A virtual 5K option is offered with a completion window from May 16 through May 24. The listed total registration price is $38.98 including processing fees; the base entry fee is $35.00. Event amenities include live online, text, and email results, free same-day finish line photos, and a personalized bib for entrants who register three weeks before the event. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in under 18 and over 18 categories. Bib pickup for in-person participants is handled by event staff starting one hour before the event; last-minute registrants receive a bib number by text shortly after registering. Virtual bibs are mailed the Monday prior to the event, with 3 to 5 days for delivery. Virtual participants may upload finish times and photos starting on race day through the following Sunday.
The event is presented with the North Shore Juneteenth Association, Inc., an organization that focuses on celebrating Juneteenth and centering Black American culture through education and community programming.
