25th Annual Black Canyon Triathlon
The Black Canyon Triathlon is a sprint distance multisport event held in Montrose, Colorado. Organized by the Montrose Recreation Foundation, the competition is a member of the Great Southwest Triathlon Series and is a USA Triathlon (USAT) certified race. Participants are required to have a USAT membership to compete in the event.
The event features several competition categories to accommodate a wide range of participants:
- Individual adult division
- Individual youth division
- Adult teams (2 or 3 members)
- Youth teams (2 or 3 members)
- Family team division
The triathlon draws approximately 200 athletes annually, with participant ages ranging from 6 to 70 years old. Funds raised through the event are used to benefit the local Montrose community.
