Event Details
The BKM 4 Life Black Maternal Health 5K is a timed event. It takes place on the campus of SSM Health DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton, Missouri. The event offers two formats:
- 5K Run/Walk
- Virtual 5K Run/Walk
The event is the second annual fundraiser for the BKM 4 Life Foundation. The in-person race course consists of a double loop around the hospital perimeter.
Purpose and Beneficiary
The event focuses on raising awareness about maternal health disparities. Black women are 3–4 times more likely to die during childbirth. All proceeds directly benefit The Family Birthplace at SSM Health DePaul Hospital to support programs and resources aimed at improving maternal health outcomes.
Registration and Logistics
Registration for the in-person and virtual 5K is $35. Packet pickup is available on Wednesday, April 29 at a running store in University City, on Friday, May 1 at the hospital's May Center, and on race day.
