The BK5K race committee will hold the 4th annual Waterloo event on August 30, 2026. The event supports area youth; all proceeds go to local youth organizations and programs demonstrating financial need. Funding grants are evaluated and dispersed by the local BK5K Youth Fund Award Committee.
The race location is Waterloo Park, 50 Young St W, Waterloo, ON N2L 2Z4. The program includes a 5K Run/Walk and a Kids Fun Run for participants 12 and under. The kids run takes place after the 5K race.
Registration details and entry fees in USD are provided: the early registration period ends July 30 and online registration closes August 29. Race day registration is available on-site. 5K adult fees are 17 USD early, 20 USD after early period, and 25 USD on race day. 5K youth fees (17 and younger) are 7 USD early, 10 USD after early period, and 15 USD on race day. Kids Fun Run is free during online registration and 5 USD on race day. T-shirt sizes are not guaranteed after the early registration period.
Cash prizes are awarded to the top three female and male finishers, and winners may accept the cash or donate it back to youth grants. Trophies and medals are awarded for overall and age group placements. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
