BK5K Waterloo
The BK5K in Waterloo holds its 4th annual edition on August 30, 2026 at Waterloo Park, 50 Young St W, Waterloo, ON N2L 2Z4. The event directs all proceeds to area youth organizations and programs that demonstrate financial need. Funding grants are reviewed and awarded by the local BK5K Youth Fund Award Committee.
The event includes a main 5K distance and a kids fun run. Online registration closes August 29, the early registration period ends July 30, and on-site race day registration is available. T-shirt sizes are not guaranteed after the early registration period closes.
Entry fees are listed in US dollars. Adult 5K participants (18 and older) and youth participants (17 and younger) have different fee levels depending on registration timing. The Kids Fun Run for ages 12 and under is free during online registration and carries a fee on race day.
Trophies are awarded to the top three overall finishers. Medals are awarded to the top three finishers in each age group for men and women. Cash prizes are given to the top three female and male finishers, with winners able to accept the cash or donate it back to local youth grants.
