The BK5K in Edwardsville, Kansas is scheduled for September 19, 2026 at the Fastenal Distribution Center, 9911 Woodend Road, Edwardsville, KS 66111. This is the sixth annual running of the event.
The race directs all proceeds to area youth by funding local 501.c.3 youth organizations and programs that demonstrate financial need. Funding grants are evaluated for merit and dispersed by the local BK5K Youth Fund Award Committee.
Event formats include:
- 5K Run/Walk for adults and youth
- Kids Fun Run for ages 12 and under
Registration options and deadlines are published: an early registration period ends on September 8 and online registration closes on September 18, with race day registration available on site. Entry fees vary by category and registration period. The Kids Fun Run is free during online registration and has a fee on race day. T shirt sizes are not guaranteed after early registration closes.
Packet pickup and race day registration are available at the event site. A post race grab and go breakfast will be offered.
Awards include cash prizes for the top three female and male finishers with amounts of $200, $100, and $50. Trophies are awarded to the top three overall finishers and medals to the top three in each age group, with separate categories for men and women.
