Event
The Bitterroot Runoff Trail Runs take place on April 18, 2026 at the Rossignol Ranch just west of Lolo, Montana (6737 Bristle Cone Ct, Lolo, MT 59847). The event includes multiple race distances that use private singletrack and doubletrack trails on the ranch. Parking at the venue is limited.

Courses and support
The courses run on double and singletrack trails. Climbing totals are listed as: the 10 Mile with 2,025 feet of climbing, the 5 Mile with 1,000 feet, and the 5k with 500 feet. Aid station layout: the 10 Mile passes the same aid station at miles 2 and 6.5; the 5 Mile has an aid station at mile 2; the 5k has no aid station. Aid stations provide water, gels, an electrolyte drink, and snacks. Course features mentioned include a highpoint near mile 4 on the 10 Mile route and a singletrack section called "Owl Alley" on the 5 Mile.
Participant items, awards, and festival
Participants receive a unisex race shirt, a 2026 finisher’s award, and a 2026 event t-shirt. Post-race provisions include a brunch with pancakes, sausage, and fruit (gluten-free pancake and vegetarian sausage options noted) and a post-race beverage from Big Sky Brewing Co. Additional support and activities include Hammer Nutrition products at aid stations, free post-race massage, vendors, shoe demos, and a raffle. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall and to top male and female in each age group (0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+); overall awards use gun time and age-group awards use chip time.
