Bishopton Fun Run
The Bishopton Fun Run takes place on 13 June 2026 and is based at Bishopton Community Centre. The event features multiple distances on quiet country roads and paths around Bishopton in an out-and-back layout.
The course details:
- 10k (two laps of the 5k route)
- 5k
- 2.5k (relatively flat, primarily a junior event for ages 5–15)
There will be no road closures; the route includes a number of short road crossings, particularly in Dargavel. Marshals will be positioned at the majority of crossings but not all, so participants should be aware of general traffic.
Entries must be made in advance and there will be no entry on the day. The event is limited to 500 runners. Entry fees are £10 for the 5k and 10k, and £5 for the 2.5k. Adults may accompany children in the 2.5k for free; adults requesting chip timing or a medal must pay the entry fee.
The race is chip timed and chips are collected alongside race numbers. Facilities will be available inside Bishopton Community Centre but there are no showers. A toddler dash for under 5s will take place on the rugby field and is free with no pre-entry required.
All finishers receive a medal and trophies are awarded to winners. Water will be available at the halfway point and at the finish. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
