Bishops Stortford Running Festival
The Bishops Stortford Running Festival takes place on 2 May 2027 and is based at Bishop's Stortford College. Races start and finish on the college campus and the event village is located on the college sports fields. The course runs through the college grounds, across open sports fields, and through the town centre on closed roads.
The event offers three looped distances and includes UK Athletics accreditation and chip timing. All finishers receive medals. The festival village features live music, local food and drink vendors, children's entertainment including facepainting and a bouncy castle, official race photos, and post race goodies. The event also states an eco friendly focus.
Practical arrangements include secure bag drop tents, portaloo toilet facilities in the event village, and water stations on course and at the finish. Parking options marked on the event map include on site parking with 150 plus spaces, School House Drive overflow with about 50 spaces, Prep School car park overflow with 82 spaces, and Northgate End car park with 500 plus spaces and electric charging located about a 15 to 25 minute walk from the village. Organisers encourage use of bicycles and public transport to reduce congestion.
