Bishop's Stortford Running Festival
The Bishop's Stortford Running Festival takes place on 2 May 2027 at Bishop's Stortford College. The event includes chip-timed, UKA accredited races and provides finisher medals and official race photos for participants. The festival village is hosted on the college sports fields and includes live music, local food and drink vendors, and family entertainment.
Distances offered:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
The course starts and finishes at Bishop's Stortford College and runs through college sports fields, the college grounds, and closed roads in the town centre. The distance formats use looped routes: the 5K is one loop, the 10K is two loops, and the half marathon is four loops plus an extension. The half marathon uses a mixed-terrain route.
Race facilities include secure bag drop tents, portaloo toilets in the event village, a water station on course and water at the finish, official race photos, and post race goodies. Entries include a unique themed medal. The event notes an eco-friendly focus and sustainability measures.
Parking options are marked on the event map: on-site parking with 150+ spaces, School House Drive overflow (approx. 50 spaces), Prep School overflow (82 spaces), and Northgate End car park with 500+ spaces and electric charging, a 15 to 25 minute walk from the event village. Organisers encourage use of bicycles and public transport to ease parking and traffic congestion. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
