Bishopbriggs Triathlon
The Bishopbriggs Triathlon takes place on 26 April 2026 at the Bishopbriggs Leisuredrome, organised by Glasgow Triathlon Club. Races use a 25 m pool for the swim, closed roads for the bike, and a canal towpath run route returning to the Leisuredrome.
Events and typical distances:
- Sprint Triathlon: 750m swim, 21.6km bike, 5km run
- Novice Triathlon: 400m swim, 10.8km bike, 3km run
- Youth A (15/16): 400m swim, 10.8km bike, 3km run
- TriStars 3 (13/14): 300m swim, 3.6km bike, 2km run
- TriStars 2 (11/12): 200m swim, 3.6km bike, 2km run
Swim heats are allocated by estimated swim time; competitors are asked to provide an estimate and may change it via their EntryCentral account (most events can be changed up until 12 April; some junior categories until 20 April). Lane order follows submitted estimates. Transition is in the Leisuredrome car park. The sprint and novice bike routes include an initial climb of about 400 m followed by a flat loop.
Entry notes: the sprint race is full and the waiting list is closed. Entries close in mid April. Withdrawals up to 31 March receive a 75% refund less the EntryCentral fee; no refunds after 31 March. A British Triathlon Race Pass is required for non-home-nation members; a service fee of 4% (minimum £0.50) applies. The run course is not suitable for para-triathletes using racing wheelchairs. Glasgow Triathlon Club runs coached and non-coached training sessions for swimmers, cyclists and runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
