Bishopbriggs Triathlon : event overview
The Bishopbriggs Triathlon takes place on 26 April 2026 at Bishopbriggs Leisuredrome, organised by Glasgow Triathlon Club. Each race uses a 25 m pool swim, a closed-roads bike course that leaves and returns to transition at the Leisuredrome, and a run along the towpath of the Forth and Clyde Canal. Transition areas are in the Leisuredrome car park. Ages are determined on 31 December 2026. The run course is not suitable for para-triathletes using racing wheelchairs.
Race distances and categories
- Sprint Triathlon - 750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run.
- Novice Triathlon - 400m swim, 10km bike, 3km run.
- Youth A (15/16 yr) - 400m swim, 10km bike, 3km run.
- TriStars 3 (13/14 yr) - 300m swim, 5km bike, 2km run.
- TriStars 2 (11/12 yr) - 200m swim, 5km bike, 2km run.
Participants choose a race category: Female or Open. Only people who are female sex at birth are eligible for the Female category. All individuals, including transgender people, are eligible for the Open category.
Registration, fees and withdrawals
Entry deadlines for listed events close on 12 April 2026. Prices until that date are shown per event (for example, Sprint £57; Novice £53). A British Triathlon Race Pass is required for non-home-nation members (rates shown for under-25 and other ages). Withdrawals up to 31 March receive a 75% refund less the EntryCentral fee; no refunds after 31 March. Entry exchanges and deferrals are not permitted.
