Bishopbriggs Triathlon Overview
The Bishopbriggs Triathlon, organized by the Glasgow Triathlon Club, takes place at the Bishopbriggs Leisuredrome. The event features a variety of distances suitable for different age groups and experience levels. Participants complete a pool-based swim, followed by a cycling segment on closed roads and a run along a canal path.
The swim portion is held in a 25m pool with six lanes, where swimmers are organized into heats based on their submitted estimated swim times. The transition area is located within the Leisuredrome car park. The cycling leg begins with a 400m climb before transitioning into a flat loop through the countryside on roads closed to traffic. The final segment is a run on the towpath of the Forth and Clyde canal, finishing back at the Leisuredrome.
