BIRR Hilo Bay 5k and 10k
The BIRR Hilo Bay 5k and 10k takes place on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Reeds Bay on Banyan Drive in Hilo, HI 96720. The event is organised as a run walk and returns to the same location.

There are dedicated entry categories for students and military for both distances. All finishers receive tee shirts and medals. Awards are given to overall finishers and to age group finishers. Aid stations and snacks are provided along the course.
Online registration closes September 3 at 1:00 PM. Big Island Road Runners members receive a five dollar registration discount and student and military discount pricing is available. Packet pickup and late registration occur at Liliuokalani Park Coconut Island area on September 4 between 3:30 PM and 5:30 PM. Additional late registration and packet pickup are available on race day up until 7:00 AM.
