Birmingham Running Festival
Birmingham Running Festival is a group of races held at Sutton Park in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, organised in support of Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. The charity delivers pre-hospital care and lifesaving interventions through helicopter-led emergency medical services.
Race options include:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
- Junior Race
The venue, Sutton Park, is a 2,400 acre National Nature Reserve located about six miles from Birmingham city centre. The park combines open space, winding paths and natural scenery and is known as the home of the National Road Relays. Courses are marked and managed to guide participants around the parkland setting.
Entries include a unique themed medal, free race photos, chip-timed results and post race goodies. Each kilometre on the course is marked with distance flags and marshals are positioned to guide and support runners. An event village offers food and drink options and partners provide additional finish-line items.
The organiser offers an event t-shirt at a discounted price when purchased with entry through RT Kit, a choice intended to manage event costs and product quality. The organiser has also been researching runner priorities and identifies sustainability as an increasing area of focus for its events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
