Bimblers Bluff 50K : Guilford, CT
The Bimblers Bluff 50K is an off road foot race held in southern Connecticut that starts at Guilford Lakes School, 40 Maupas Rd, Guilford. The route passes through several interconnected woodland preserves and follows rolling forest roads and single track that can be extremely rocky.
The course does not require participants to complete the same loop multiple times. Aid stations are located along the route, and the event enforces time cutoffs at aid stations and the finish to ensure everyone is off the course before dark.
Organizers advise that runners have sufficient recent running experience, for example a recent road or trail marathon, before attempting this event. The race includes post race refreshments and has a volunteer program for those who are not running.
Entry fees increase as the event date approaches. Published fee tiers include $60 before September 1, $65 before October 1, $75 before October 18, and $85 on race day. Limited spots are available for the 50K distance.
