Bimblers Bluff 50K
The Bimblers Bluff 50K is an off‑road foot race based at Guilford Lakes School, 40 Maupas Rd, Guilford, Connecticut. The route passes through several interconnected woodland preserves in southern Connecticut and consists entirely of rolling forest roads and single track that can be extremely rocky.
The course layout does not require repeating the same loop multiple times. Aid stations are placed along the route and the event enforces cutoff times at those stations and at the finish to ensure participants are off the course before dark. Post-race refreshments are provided.
The event is intended for runners with substantial recent experience; the organizers note that entrants should be confident in their ability to complete the distance and suggest comparable recent finishes such as a road or trail marathon. Registration follows tiered pricing with early, regular, late, and race day rates, and registration closes on race day shortly before the event. Limited spots and volunteer opportunities are available to support the event.
