Event Overview
The Bill Snyder Highway Half & 5K is an event in Manhattan, Kansas, presented by the Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Center. The 2026 edition will be the 12th annual event. Proceeds from the race support selected charities, which have previously included Homecare Hospice, No Stone Unturned, and Johnson Cancer Research.
Race Details
The event features two distances:
- Half Marathon (point-to-point course)
- 5K
The half marathon starts near Interstate 70 on Highway 177, also known as the Coach Bill Snyder Highway. Runners proceed into Manhattan on the northbound lane, travel through downtown, around City Park, through the Aggieville district, onto the Kansas State University campus, and finish at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. Participants take shuttle buses from the stadium's west parking lot to the starting line.
