BCS Wellness Be My Valentine 5K and 1.5 Mile Walk
This event on February 13, 2027 takes place at 800 Anneberg Circle in Manhattan, Kansas, with the 1.5 mile walk following the Anneberg Park pond and adjacent trail. In-person offerings include a 3.1 mile 5K run and a 1.5 mile walk, plus a virtual 5K option.
Registered finishers in the in-person 5K and registered walkers receive a custom-made Running Cupid medal at the finish. The in-person 5K has individual awards and two-person team prizes awarded by combined finishing time, with team categories Male-Female, Female-Female, and Male-Male. Two-person team age divisions for first place awards are combined ages 40-under, 41-80, and 81-over.
Registration windows and fees are:
- Registration opens 2026-08-14 for all events.
- In-person registration closes 2027-02-02. Virtual registration closes 2027-02-12.
- Fees listed are $30.00 for the 5K, $25.00 for the 1.5 mile walk, and $25.00 for the virtual 5K.
Proceeds benefit the Manhattan High School cross country program and other running opportunities for area youth in the Flint Hills region. The 2027 event will be capped at 350 participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
