BCS Wellness Be My Valentine 5K and 1.5 Mile Walk

BCS Wellness Be My Valentine is a multi-format running and walking event held in Manhattan, Kansas at 800 Anneberg Circle. The program includes in-person 5K and 1.5 mile walk options plus a virtual 5K.

All registered finishers receive a custom-made Running Cupid medal at the finish. The in-person 1.5 mile walk follows a route around the Anneberg Park pond and adjacent trail. The 5K offers both individual prizes and two-person team prizes; team divisions include Male-Female, Female-Female, and Male-Male categories. Team awards are determined by combined finishing time and by combined ages; first place prizes will be awarded for two-person teams in combined age groups 40-under, 41-80, and 81-over.

Registration details are provided for each entry type. Registration opens on 2026-08-14; in-person registration closes on 2027-02-02 and the virtual registration closes on 2027-02-12. Entry fees listed are $30.00 for the 5K and $25.00 for the 1.5 mile walk and the virtual 5K. The virtual option allows participants to run at their chosen time and submit their result online. Proceeds support the Manhattan High School cross country program and youth running opportunities in the Flint Hills region. The 2027 in-person event is capped at 350 participants.
