Bill Heck CK Charity 5K
The Bill Heck CK Charity 5K is a community road race in Kokomo that raises funds for the Kokomo Humane Society. The event is organized by Club Kokomo Roadrunners and operates as a free will donation race; monetary contributions and items from the humane society wish list are accepted.
The course runs through and around Foster Park, starting next to Kokomo Fire Station 1 adjacent to Foster Park. The route continues through the woods on the Wildcat Walk of Excellence and has a turnaround point just before Sycamore Street.
Same day registration is held at Kokomo Fire Station 1 east of Foster Park. Pre registration by mail can be sent to Club Kokomo Roadrunners, 2728 N Webster St, Kokomo, IN 46901. Online registrants are asked to bring donations on the day of the race.
Animals are not allowed on the course. Club members who participate receive 20 club points and the race is also eligible for volunteer points.
The charity race began in December 1985 on Old Sycamore, when seventeen runners and walkers collected ninety dollars for a local need. Over the years the event has raised around forty three thousand dollars. The race is scheduled for Saturday, October 17, 2026 at Kokomo Fire Station 1, 215 W Superior St, Kokomo.
