Event Overview
The Bill Bone 5K is an annual evening running event held on July 4 in West Palm Beach, Florida. The race starts in Downtown West Palm Beach at the intersection of S. Flagler Drive and Fern Street. Registration proceeds benefit the Wounded Veterans Relief Fund, an organization that provides direct services to veterans.
Participants have three options for participation:
- Bill Bone 5K
- Bill Bone 5K Youth Registration (open to ages 1-17)
- Bill Bone Virtual 5K
The 5 km course concludes in the downtown area as part of the 4th on Flagler Celebration. Registered participants receive a race shirt and a custom-designed finisher medal. Post-race refreshments are provided, including hot dogs, watermelon, chips, cookies, and lemonade. Following the run, the broader celebration includes live entertainment and a fireworks display accompanied by music over the Intracoastal Waterway.
Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in various age groups, which are categorized in five-year increments up to ages 80 and over.
