Bill Bone 5K, West Palm Beach FL
The Bill Bone 5K is the sixth annual running event held on July 4, 2026, with a start line in Downtown West Palm Beach at the corner of S. Flagler Drive and Fern Street. The event raises money for the Wounded Veterans Relief Fund and finishes in Downtown West Palm Beach as part of the 4th on Flagler Celebration festivities.
There are multiple registration options and entry fees:
- 3.1 Miles Bill Bone 5K
- 3.1 Miles Bill Bone 5K Youth entry limited to those 15 and under
- 3.1 Miles Bill Bone Virtual 5K
Registration opens on November 21, 2025. In-person registration for the main and youth events closes March 20, 2026; virtual registrations remain open through July 4, 2026. Listed fees are $30 for the main 5K, $20 for the youth entry, and $45 for the virtual 5K.
Every registered runner receives a race shirt, a custom finisher medal, and post-race refreshments that include hot dogs and watermelon. An "All You Can Eat" refreshments offering includes hot dogs, watermelon, chips, cookies, and lemonade available until 8:30 pm. Additional refreshment wrist bands are available at registration for $5 per person. Free entertainment leads into a fireworks and music display over the Intracoastal Waterway. Awards for the 5K are given three-deep for male and female age groups in five-year increments to 80 and older. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
