Bike with the Blue 2026
Bike with the Blue is a multi-discipline fundraiser event hosted by the Flower Mound Police Department, the Flower Mound Police Association, and the FMCPAAA. Based at the Moviehouse & Eatery on Long Prairie Road, the event offers various physical activities including running and cycling. All proceeds from the event benefit Journey to Dream - Kyle's Place.
The event features several participation options:
- 5K - A scenic running route through the Lakeside DFW area in Flower Mound. This category is open to adults and children (17 and under), and includes a specific division for owners and their pets.
- 4.69-mile Civilian Bike Race - A cycling course consisting of approximately 3.39 miles of town streets, 1.0 mile of paved roadway, and 0.3 miles of flat, gravel road. While a street bike may be used, a mountain bike is recommended.
- Youth Ride - A "Bike with the Blue" ride specifically for younger participants accompanied by sworn police cyclists from across the DFW area.
- 8+ mile Police Bike Race - A competitive cycling event for law enforcement officers, available for both individual participants and four-man departmental teams.
The event is designed for participants of all ages. Registered participants in the running events can choose between individual adult, youth, or pet-friendly categories. Police participants are not charged a registration fee but have the option to make a donation to the beneficiary. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
