BigMud Trails (EARTH)

BigMud Trails (EARTH) takes place on Sunday 21 February 2027 at Queen Elizabeth Country Park, Horndean. It is the first event in the Classic Element Trail Series and returns for its sixth year with three single-lap, muddy trail runs around the Meon Valley.

Runners can choose from these distances:

• 16 Miles (£44)
• Marathon (£56)
• 50 km Ultramarathon (£65)

All races start and finish at Queen Elizabeth Country Park and include a 518 ft climb to Butser Hill reached twice. The route follows trails and rolling hills through the South Downs National Park. Canicross entries are not accepted. A bag drop tent will be available on the day.

Mandatory kit and safety notes: each runner must carry at least 500 ml of fluid. Runners are advised to carry appropriate clothing for changeable winter weather and to download the GPX file of the route to a watch or mobile device because course markers can be tampered with.

Cut off times are provided for each distance. Aid stations are positioned at stated mile markers and are described as well stocked with sweet and savoury snacks, vegan options, water and flat coke. This is a cupless event. Precision Fuel & Hydration products will be available on course and runners receive two PFH gels at registration. Classic Element T-shirts are available by pre-order only.
