BigMud Trails (EARTH) : Classic Element Trail Series
BigMud is the first event in the Classic Element Trail Series and represents the element Earth. It returns for its sixth year with three single-lap, muddy trail races through the Meon Valley. All races use Queen Elizabeth Country Park in Hampshire as the event base and include a 518 ft climb to Butser Hill twice, with the course running across trails and rolling hills of the South Downs National Park.

All runners must carry at least 500 ml of fluid. Runners are advised to carry appropriate clothing for variable weather and to download the GPX route file to a watch or mobile device because course arrows may be tampered with. A bag drop tent will be available on the day.
Cut off times:
- 16 mile 5 hours
- Marathon 7.5 hours
- Ultramarathon 8.5 hours
Aid stations are located at set mile points for each distance and provide sweet and savoury snacks including vegan options, plus water and flat coke. The event operates as a cupless event. Precision Fuel & Hydration supplies PH 1000 electrolyte at aid stations and entrants can collect two PFH gels at registration. Event T-shirts are available by pre-order only. Canicross entries are not accepted. Runners may choose to have a tree planted instead of receiving a finishers medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
