bigmoose ultra fun run 2027
The bigmoose ultra fun run takes place on 11 April 2027 in Bute Park, Cardiff, with a virtual entry option for participants anywhere in the world. Loops start and finish in Coopers Field and an event village with local food and drink traders is provided after finish.
Participants choose their own distance and run at their own pace. Distances offered:
- 5 km walk
- 5 km run
- 10 km run
- Half marathon
- Marathon
- Ultramarathon
The entry fee is £25 and includes a bigmoose spotty tee and postage. Tickets are non-refundable. Everyone taking part is asked to fundraise a minimum of £50; fundraising supports therapy and other mental health services. The event lists example impacts for fundraising, for example £50 funds an initial phone conversation and £100 funds one therapy session.
The event states an inclusive approach. It is accredited by She Races and reports measures such as free period products in toilets, a zero-tolerance approach to harassment, and the option for pregnant runners to defer their place. Children from age 2 may take part but under-18s must be accompanied by an adult. The run welcomes participants with disabilities and has previously included wheelchair and guide entries.
