BigHeat "CAMP-FIRE"
BigHeat is a weekend trail running festival held at Mill Farm in Lurgashall, Petworth. The event features camping, yoga, live music, food and drink, shower and toilet facilities, and an event village with a beer tent and food stands. Registration and a race village are located at the start/finish area.
The event is the Fire element of the Classic Element Trail Series and offers single-lap trail routes along dusty tracks, sun-baked forests and open sandy plains. Routes include sections of The Serpent Trail and pass notable locations such as Blackdown and The Temple of the Winds within the Surrey Hills and surrounding countryside.

Practical information: camping pitches are available for a fee and include access to showers and live music; premier bell tent glamping is offered for an additional fee. Participants must carry at least 500 ml of fluid and are advised to carry appropriate clothing for changing conditions. Organisers recommend downloading the GPX route file as courses are marked but arrows can be tampered with. A bag drop is available and cut off times apply for each distance.
Aid stations are supplied with snacks including vegan options, water and flat coke, and will provide PH 1000 electrolyte liquid. Participants collect two Precision Fuel & Hydration gels at registration. Canicross entries are not accepted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
