Bigger Than the Whole Sky 5K
This is a community running event at Heritage Park, Shelter 1, in Olathe, KS. The event aims to raise awareness about the life-saving potential of organ donation and to honor a memory through community participation.
The event program includes:
- 5K in-person at Heritage Park shelter 1
- 3.1 miles virtual option with shirt and race bib mailed
A pancake breakfast follows the in-person 5K. The breakfast is described as all-you-can-eat and there is an option for attendees who only want the breakfast. Race registration for the in-person 5K includes the breakfast.
Registration windows and fees are provided for each component: the in-person 5K has a registration period from February 2, 2026 to March 29, 2026 with a fee of $35.00; the pancake breakfast has a registration period from February 2, 2026 to May 29, 2026 with a fee of $10.00; the virtual 3.1 mile option has a registration period from March 6, 2026 to May 28, 2026 with a fee of $25.00. Virtual participants can submit a photo to the event Facebook page and receive apparel and a bib similarly to in-person participants.
