The Shark Week Showdown is a Shark Week-themed running event on 23rd Street in Tulsa. It is hosted by Bigfoot Running Company and described as a high-energy, family-friendly event.

Event Features
All timed events (5K and 10K) are chip-timed and have awards for overall winners, masters (40+), and age groups. Age groups range from 10 & under to 70+. The 1 Mile and Kids Dash are not chip-timed.
All participants receive a finisher medal and a race tee. The Kids Dash includes a special medal and a post-race treat. The 5K and 10K events also include a treat ticket.
The event includes music at the start and finish line, aid stations on the course, and finish-line celebrations. The course terrain is a mix of pavement, crushed granite, and some dirt paths.
Schedule and Logistics
Packet pickup opens 1.5 hours before the race start. The Kids Dash starts at 6:55 AM, followed by the National Anthem and the start of the other races at 7:00 AM.
Youth pricing is available for participants aged 12 & under. Group discounts and a referral reward program are offered. A shirt is guaranteed for registrations completed at least 10 days before race day.
Volunteer Opportunities
There are two main volunteer options. The "Volunteer then Run" option allows a limited number of participants to help with packet pickup and then run the 5K. Full race volunteer roles include various tasks such as working at water stations, course monitoring, and being the Bigfoot mascot.
