24th Annual Firecracker 5K
The Firecracker 5K is an established Independence Day running event held in downtown Tulsa. Organized by Golden Driller Racing, this event is recognized as a significant summer competition in the region and utilizes a course through the downtown area. The starting point and race hub are located at Fleet Feet Blue Dome.
Participants can choose from several event categories:
- 5K
- 5K Stroller Race
- Fun Run & Walk (1 Mile)
The 5K course and the 1 Mile Fun Run course are separate routes designed to accommodate different participation levels. Registration includes tiered pricing, with special rates available for participants aged 18 and under. Every registered participant receives a race t-shirt and a finisher medal upon completion of their event.
The event features an organized post-race gathering. This celebration includes live music, food, and beverage options, with beer available for participants aged 21 and over. The race is managed by an RRCA-registered company and, where appropriate, utilizes USATF-certified courses.
