Running Through the Decades Half Marathon - Tulsa
Running Through the Decades is an 1980s themed running event hosted by Bigfoot Running Company at Northeastern State University in Broken Arrow, OK. The event program includes chip-timed and untimed distances, a pre-race costume contest with multiple award categories, live DJ music, and on-course support. All participants receive a race shirt and finisher medal.
Distances offered:
- About 50 meters Kids Dash for ages 10 and under
- 1 mile fun run, untimed
- 5K 3.11 miles chip-timed with overall and age-group awards
- Quarter marathon 6.55 miles chip-timed with trophies and awards
- Half marathon 13.1 miles chip-timed with trophies and awards
- Volunteer then Run 5K 3.11 miles includes chip timing and finisher items
- Virtual run 13.1 miles
Awards include overall Bigfoot trophies for top finishers, Masters recognition for age 40 and over, and age group pins for categories from 10 and under through 70 plus. Course surfaces use a mix of pavement, crushed granite, and dirt paths, and aid stations will provide water and support. Events take place on public parks, greenbelts, and roads where other park users may be present. Volunteer roles include water stations, course monitors, finish line helpers, sweeper support, packet pickup and lead bike and volunteers receive event shirt and other recognition options.
