Event overview
Running through the Decades Half Marathon - Tulsa is scheduled for May 16, 2026, at Northeastern State University in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. The event is hosted by Bigfoot Running Company and features an 1980s theme with a pre-race costume contest and a live DJ. A virtual run option is offered. Packet pickup and post-race results and awards are provided at the registration area.
Distances and awards
- Kids Dash - about 50 meters, for kids 10 and under.
- 1 Mile - untimed fun run.
- 5K - 3.11 miles, chip-timed with age-group awards.
- Quarter Marathon - 6.55 miles, chip-timed with awards.
- Half Marathon - 13.1 miles, chip-timed with awards.
- Volunteer then Run 5K - 3.11 miles; limited to the first 5 sign-ups.
All finishers receive a medal and a shirt. Awards include 1st overall male and female Bigfoot trophies, 1st Masters (40+) recognition pins, and age-group pins for categories from 10 & under through 70+.
Course and volunteers
Courses use paved trails and park paths and may include crushed granite or dirt segments. Aid stations will supply water. Events take place in public parks, greenbelts, and roads where other park users may be present. Volunteer roles are available in a range of positions; volunteers check in before the race and some roles include a race shirt and other benefits.
