Event Details
The Rodeo Stampede is a running event with a rodeo theme in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It takes place at Riverside 96th Street Park. Several running distances and a kids' dash are offered.
Distances
Participants can choose from several distances:
- Kids Dash (approximately 50 meters for children 10 and under)
- 1 Mile Run
- 5K Run (3.1 miles)
- Quarter Marathon Run (6.55 miles)
- Half Marathon Run (13.1 miles)
- Virtual Run
The Kids Dash and 1 Mile Run are not chip-timed, while the 5K, Quarter Marathon, and Half Marathon are chip-timed events.
Awards and Features
All finishers receive a medal and a custom event t-shirt. The finisher medal is designed as a belt buckle. Overall trophies are awarded to the fastest male and female finisher in each timed event. There is also a special recognition pin for the top male and female masters (age 40+) runner.
Age group awards are given for the 5K, Quarter Marathon, and Half Marathon distances across many categories. The event includes a Cowboy Costume Contest with one winner chosen by crowd reaction; the winner receives a trophy and a prize pack.
A DJ provides music, and each runner's name is announced as they cross the finish line. Snacks and refreshments are available after the race. Aid stations with water are located on the course.
Volunteering
Volunteer opportunities are available before, during, and after the race. Roles include working at water stations, monitoring the course, helping at the finish line, and acting as the event mascot.
