Heroes and Villains Half Marathon : NE Metro Park, Pflugerville
The Heroes and Villains Half Marathon is presented by Bigfoot Running Company and takes place at NE Metro Park in Pflugerville, Texas. The event offers multiple race options and a mix of in-person and virtual participation.
Distances include:
- Kids Dash - 50-meter untimed dash for ages 10 and under
- 1 Mile Fun Run - 1 mile untimed run for all ages
- 5K - 3.11 miles, chip timed
- Quarter Marathon - 6.55 miles, chip timed
- Half Marathon - 13.1 miles, chip timed
- Volunteer then Run 5K - 3.11 miles, includes chip-timed bib, t-shirt, and medal
- Virtual Run - 13.1 miles, virtual option
All finishers in every distance receive a medal and shirt. Standard awards for chip-timed races include Bigfoot Trophies for overall winners, recognition for masters, and Gold, Silver, Bronze pins for top three in each age group. A costume contest is held before the races with prizes such as a $25 gift card, a free future race entry, and a Bigfoot Prize Pack.
Course routes use park and greenbelt trails that are mostly paved with some crushed granite and dirt sections. Aid stations are available along the courses. Packet pickup opens 1.5 hours before the race and shirts are guaranteed if requested at least 10 days before race day. The event proceeds in varied weather conditions.
