Summer Meltdown Half Marathon - Oklahoma City
The event at Wheeler Park in Oklahoma City offers multiple race options across in-person and virtual formats. Distances include a short Kids Dash, a 1 Mile, a 5K, a Quarter Marathon, a Half Marathon, and a Virtual Half Marathon option. Several in-person races are chip timed while shorter community distances are not.
Aid stations with water are placed along the course and snacks and refreshments are available at the race rally tent after the finish. Race results and awards are posted live at the registration tent after participants finish. Standard age group awards and overall trophies are specified for the 5K, Quarter Marathon, and Half Marathon. Shirt orders are guaranteed if requested at least ten days before the event; later availability is announced if shirts remain.
Volunteer roles are offered with varied duties such as water station, course monitor, finish line helper, packet pickup, floater, lead bike, mascot, and sweeper. Volunteers receive a race shirt, VIP race access, and a choice of a free future race entry or a $20 prepaid digital gift card. One volunteer option allows a limited number of people to help then run the 5K with a custom chip timed bib, tee, and finisher medal.
