The Big Kahuna 5K, 10K - Little Rock
This event takes place at Cook's Landing Park in Little Rock. It is organized by Bigfoot Running Company and features a tropical theme.
The event includes the following distances:
- Kids Dash (10 & under)
- 1 Mile Run
- 5K (3.11 miles)
- 10K (6.22 miles)
- Virtual Run
All participants receive a race tee and a finisher medal. Kids Dash participants get a special medal. A tropical treat is provided for every runner post-race, and leis are handed out at the event. Music plays at the start and finish line, and there is a tropical-themed photo backdrop.
The 5K and 10K races are chip-timed and offer overall, masters (40+), and age group awards. The age groups range from 10 & under to 70+. The 1 Mile and Kids Dash are not timed. Aid stations are available along the course.
Volunteer opportunities are available, including a "Volunteer then Run" option for the 5K, which is limited to 10 spots. Full race volunteers receive a race shirt and can choose between a free future race entry or a gift card.
Packet pickup opens 1.5 hours before the race start. The course terrain includes a mix of pavement, crushed granite, and some dirt paths. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
