Running Through the Decades 1980s Edition

The event uses an 1980s theme with a costume contest, 1980s music and a live DJ. A pre-race costume contest awards best overall, best group, and most authentic outfits. Music and retro attire are part of the event atmosphere.
All finishers receive a medal and a shirt. Chip timing applies to the 5K, quarter marathon, and half marathon, and awards include overall Bigfoot trophies, Masters recognition, and age group pins for defined age categories. Packet pickup is available before the races. Aid stations will provide water and support on course.
Courses run on paved trails and park paths with possible mixed surfaces such as crushed granite or dirt. Events take place in public parks, greenbelts, and roads where other park users may be present. Volunteer roles include water stations, course monitors, lead bike, finish line help, and the Bigfoot mascot, with benefits for volunteers such as a shirt, VIP access, or a future race entry or gift card.
