BIGFOOT CHALLENGE 5k/8k Memorial Day Run/Walk
The event takes place in Dansville, Michigan on May 25, 2026, with race activities at the Dansville High School track and nearby roads. Multiple race options are offered, including:
- 8K run
- 5K run/walk
- 400 m kids race
- Virtual 5K option
All in-person participants receive a newly designed T-shirt and a Bigfoot finishing medal. The 12 and under Little Foot kids race includes a medal and a T-shirt, with the choice of one or two laps on the track; parents may run with younger children. The virtual 5K allows participants to run from any location, upload a time within two weeks, and have a T-shirt, bib, and medal shipped within two weeks after the event; virtual participation applies to US residents unless additional postage is provided.
The 5K and 8K races are chip timed by the Michigan Running Foundation, with accurate chip times, current overall and age group placement available live and texted to participants. Age group trophies are awarded to the top three in each age group for both distances, and large overall trophies are presented for Overall, Master, Grand Master, and Senior Master categories.
