About the race
The Bigfoot Challenge is the 49th annual Memorial Day running and walking event in Dansville, Michigan (1264 Adams St and Dansville High School Track) on May 31, 2027. The event offers in-person races and a virtual option and includes participant shirts and finishing medals for entrants.
Distances offered:
- 5K Run or Walk
- 8K Run
- 3K Competitive Walk with awards
- 400 m Little Foot Kids Race for ages 12 and under
- 5K Virtual Run/Walk for US residents with shipping options
Awards include age group trophies for top three finishers in standard age divisions from 12 and under through 80 plus, plus large overall Bigfoot trophies for male and female categories including Overall, Master (over 40), Grand Master (over 50), and Senior Master (over 60). The 3K walk has comparable overall awards. Little Foot entrants receive a medal and a T shirt and may run one or two laps; parents may run with a child.
The event is professionally chip timed by the Michigan Running Foundation; accurate chip times will be recorded and finish results will be available and communicated to participants. Packet pick up is available the night before and on race day at the high school track. Entry fees vary by date with a higher fee for day of registration and a separate fee schedule for the Little Foot kids race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
