Event Overview
The Bigfoot Challenge 5k Flag Day Run/Walk takes place on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Gadsden Park in Tampa. The event celebrates Flag Day and includes several race distances:
- 5k Run/Walk
- One Mile Fun Run
- Virtual 5k
- Little Foot Kids Dash for participants aged 12 and under.
Participant Perks & Details
All entries for the races receive a patriotic t-shirt and a custom Bigfoot finishing medal. The 5k race features live chip timing, with results provided online and via text or email, professionally managed by J3 Timing.
For the competitive 5k event, Bigfoot trophies are awarded to overall winners and masters winners (age 40+). The top three finishers in each age group also receive awards, which are presented live during the race. Age groups range from 12 & under to 80+.
The Little Foot Kids Dash is a short out-and-back sprint designed for children. A character named Bigfoot participates with the kids. Packet pick-up for all events begins at 6:00 AM at Gadsden Park.
Course Information
The 5k course is a single loop around Buffalo Creek park before moving onto sidewalks and side roads for an out-and-back route. A separate, shorter Park Loop of approximately 0.8 miles is also available, with participants receiving a finisher medal. Proceeds from the event support the Dansville Running Programs.
