Big Timber Trot 7K/10K - Charleston, WV
The Big Timber Trot 7K and 10K takes place on May 25, 2026 in Kanawha State Forest with both distances starting and finishing at Shelter 6. The event is one of two races held annually in the park and is directed by a team that has hosted races in the forest for years.
Courses guide runners along winding forest roads and include steady climbs and classic West Virginia terrain. The routes are described as accessible to newer trail runners while still offering a challenge for more experienced participants. Course maps are provided for both distances.
Registration information and pricing are published for several periods. Registration opens on March 1, 2026. Race shirts are guaranteed for runners who register by May 15 at midnight; any remaining shirts will be distributed first come first served while supplies last.
