Big Texas Ultra : Georgetown, TX
The Big Texas Ultra is a two-day trail endurance event held in Georgetown, Texas, on the Lake Georgetown Rim Trail. It uses the Russell Park Trailhead (2101 Co Rd 262) as its start and finish location and is organized by Texas Outlaw Running. Entry fees shown range from $82.18 to $195.20.
The event follows a 15K out-and-back trail and a 50K loop that begins and ends at Russell Park. The course surface includes a mix of rocky trail, jeep road, and road sections. Historic average temperatures for the event are about 50 to 74 degrees. Aid stations provide food and hydration and the course is fully marked and supported.

Ruck and equipment rules require a weighted pack: if a participant weighs more than 150 pounds they carry 30 pounds, otherwise 20 pounds; rucksacks or vests are allowed. The event does not provide disposable cups so participants must use their own water-carrying system. Pacing is allowed only for the 100K on the second 50K loop.
Awards and series All distances receive a Big Texas Ultra finisher medal and long-sleeve garment; ruckers receive a ruck patch. The 100K finisher receives a silver belt buckle and championship prize money is awarded to top finishers. The race is part of the Texas Ultra Series, with combined finisher medals forming the Lone Star collectible and qualification pathways for the 100K Championship.
