The course uses the Goodwater Trail Loop plus an out-and-back to the Country Club Road crossing. The event surface is a mix of rocky trail, jeep road, and road sections. Historic average temperatures range from about 50 to 74 degrees.

Aid stations are placed along the course with hot and cold food options, snacks, water, electrolytes, pickle juice, and ice. Drop bags can be left at packet pickup and will be transported to the Lone Star aid station at mile 15. The start/finish area serves as the main aid station.

Required equipment includes a hydration carrying system (minimum 16 ounces for the 15K; 24 to 32 ounces recommended for 50K/100K), a headlamp for the last 50K of the 100K event, and a phone for 50K and 100K participants. Parking is restricted to designated spots. Finisher items and awards include event medals, a long-sleeve shirt, ruck patch, belt buckles for 100K finishers, and cash prizes for top 3 in the 100K championship.
