Big River Race - Pasco, Washington
The Big River Race takes place at Chiawana Park in Pasco, Washington on May 30, 2026. The event uses a paved riverfront trail along the Columbia River and starts and finishes at the west end of the park. The course is described as flat and runs east from the start.
Distances offered:
- Half Marathon - 13.1 miles, out-and-back on the paved riverfront path.
- 10K - 6.2 miles, out-and-back on the trail.
- 5K - 3.1 miles, out-and-back on the trail.
- Free 1 Mile - out-and-back fun run not timed.
Aid and race amenities vary by distance. The half marathon has six aid stations with water, electrolyte drink, gels and fruit snacks; stations are roughly two miles apart. The 10K has three aid stations and the 5K has one aid station at the turnaround. The one-mile fun run has one water station at the turnaround and is not timed. The half marathon price includes a shirt and half marathon, 10K and 5K finishers receive custom medals; one-mile finishers receive a medal.
Additional notes: an early start option is available for half marathon runners who expect to take longer than three hours; those runners should plan to carry water for the first 1.5 hours until aid stations open. Strollers are welcome in several distances and are instructed to start in the back right hand side. Chiawana Park offers shade, open lawn areas and views of the river; post-race treats and live music are part of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
