Big Nut Strut - Sunbury, OH
The Big Nut Strut is the 17th annual community running and walking event held in front of Prairie Run Elementary at 701 N Miller Dr, Sunbury, OH 43074. The event offers both in-person and virtual participation and supports local Big Walnut PTOs across preschool through high school to fund additional programs and materials.
Distances offered:
- 5K, in-person and virtual run/walk
- 1 Mile, in-person and virtual walk (in-person walk is untimed)
Registration opens March 1, 2026, and closes May 25, 2026. The registration fee is $30.00 for each listed option.
Race day registration will be cashless and all registration is handled online; race day transactions require a smartphone and credit card. The event lists multiple in-person and virtual options so participants can choose how they take part. The fundraiser element is organized to provide supplemental support to classroom and extracurricular needs across the Big Walnut school district PTOs.
