Event details

The Big House 5K takes place on April 12, 2026 in Ann Arbor, MI. This is the 13th annual running and walking event. The course goes through the University of Michigan campus and finishes on the 50-yard line of Michigan Stadium. Event registration opens January 15, 2026 at 12:00am EST. General registration is listed at $28 and increases to $38 after the first 5,000 registrants. A stroller entry option is available for children ages 5 and younger; the stroller entry price is $20 and 250 stroller spots remain.

Charity and past outcomes

A guaranteed $12 of each participant registration fee will be split evenly and donated to six official local non-profit beneficiaries, plus any race proceeds after expenses. The 2026 beneficiary partners are Cass Community Social Services; Fisher House Michigan; Food Gatherers; Our Community Reads; Shelter Association of Washtenaw County; and T Wall Foundation.
