Event overview
The Big Door Wine Run Turkey Trot is a chip-timed 5k run/walk held at Big Door Vineyards in White, Georgia on Saturday, November 8, 2025. The race is timed and scored by J3 Timing and results are posted online. Registration includes a super soft ring spun cotton t-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a wine glass-shaped finisher medal, a chip-timed race bib, and a pour of wine (wine items are not provided to minors).
Logistics and race details
The course starts and finishes at the winery and follows a cross-country style route with areas of uneven footing. The route is two laps; runners and walkers are asked to be courteous when passing on the second lap. Parking is located at Sutallee Baptist Church with a shuttle to the winery. Packet pickup is race day only and opens one hour before the event. Age group awards are given to the top three finishers in each 10-year age category, and awards must be picked up on race day. Minors may participate with a discounted registration but will not receive a wine pour or wine glass. Strollers are allowed but not recommended due to uneven ground. Dogs are not allowed on site. A virtual participation option is available, including packet pickup or packet shipping for an additional fee. The event partners with the Great Lake Allatoona Clean Up charity.
