Big Country CASA’s Superhero 5K : Abilene, TX
The Big Country CASA’s Superhero 5K is scheduled for May 2, 2026 at the ACU Williams Performing Arts Center in Abilene. The event includes a timed 5K for participants 13 and over, a kids timed 5K for ages 12 and under, a kids untimed 5K for ages 12 and under, and the Chase the Villain children’s run for ages 11 and under. Adult timed entries list a fee of $30 and include the 2026 race shirt if registered by April 1, 2026. Kids timed entries have a fee of $10; untimed kids entries and Chase the Villain are free. Race shirts may be purchased for $10 where noted, and shirt color and size are guaranteed only for registrations completed by April 1, 2026.
The course follows a designated route around the ACU neighborhood and campus and will include running on city streets. Entrance and parking are from N. 16th Street; there is no entrance from Judge Ely Boulevard. Early packet pick-up is available Friday, May 1 at Arrow Ford, 4001 S 1st St, Abilene.
Chip-timed awards include an overall top male and female trophy and $100 gift card, top male and female youth awards with $50 gift cards, and a top child (12 and under) award with a $25 gift card. Age divisions are provided for male and female categories. Participants are released in waves beginning with elite runners. Team entries are encouraged and a prize is planned for the largest team.
